Poker Sites Lose Domains to FBI

Apr.15, 2011 6:47:PM

This is a developing story but it was just been released that Poker Stars (pokerstars.com), Full Tilt Poker (fulltiltpoker.com), Ultimate Bet (ub.com) and Absolute Poker (absolutepoker.com) have had their domains seized by the FBI.

Many US residents have reported that the domains are currently working and going to the correct sites but many believe that the DNS has not propagated. It is only a matter of time before visitors will be taken to the FBI seized domain landing page.

The document currently lists 11 owners that have been charged with violating US laws.

Update:  April 20, 2011 7:47 PM (PST) – PokerStars.com & FullTiltPoker.com has reached a deal with the United States Department of Justice that they will no longer serve US players. They will get their .com domains back and have agreed to pay all players back who have their money at the poker sites. Full release here.

Update: April 15, 2011 12:33 PM (PST) – US players are no longer able to play at real money poker tables at PokerStars.com.
