BetRivers Poker adds mystery bounties Nov. 4, the third regulated US room to run the format
BetRivers Poker's first mystery bounty tournament runs Wednesday, Nov. 4, across its shared Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia player pool. The launch puts BetRivers alongside WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel and brings the format online in Delaware and West Virginia for the first time.
- BetRivers Poker's first mystery bounty tournament is a $5 buy-in scheduled for 3:05 pm ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
- Half of the prize pool in the opening event is set aside for mystery bounties, following the standard split for the format.
- Poker Industry PRO estimated BetRivers Poker held a 10% share in May of a US online poker market worth about $8 million a month.
- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported September 2026 online poker revenue of $2,270,481, down 1.76% from $2,311,202 a year earlier.
BetRivers Poker deals its first mystery bounty tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 4, a $5 buy-in scheduled for 3:05 pm ET. The launch makes BetRivers the third regulated US poker room to offer the format, following WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel, PokerFuse reported. Because the room runs one shared player pool across Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia, the format goes live in all four states on the same day.
The start date slipped slightly. The operator had announced mystery bounties the week before and then needed extra time to fix outstanding issues and satisfy regulators in all four of its states, PokerFuse reported.
BetRivers follows WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel into mystery bounties
Until this week, players looking for mystery bounties in regulated US online poker had two options: WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel. BetRivers now closes that product gap with the two rooms. The opening event is one of several, with mystery bounty tournaments at multiple buy-in levels open to players in all four BetRivers states from Nov. 4, according to PokerNews.
The room is not a large one. Poker Industry PRO estimated that BetRivers Poker held a 10% share in May of a US online poker market worth about $8 million a month. For a room of that size, adding a tournament format its competitors already run is consistent with an effort to keep its existing players from drifting elsewhere for specific events, though the operator has not framed the launch that way.
Whether the format sticks is a separate question. PokerFuse expects mystery bounties will probably become a regular part of future BetRivers Poker MTT series. That is the publication’s own forecast. The operator has made no such commitment.
Delaware and West Virginia players get online mystery bounties for the first time
The launch matters most in the two smaller states on the network. Rush Street Interactive holds the exclusive contract with the Delaware Lottery for online gambling, which makes BetRivers the only licensed online poker site in Delaware, and BetRivers is also the only operator running regulated online poker in West Virginia, PokerFuse reported in July. With no other room in either state, BetRivers is the first to bring mystery bounties online there.
That reach comes from the network’s structure. On June 10, 2025, Rush Street Interactive announced it was launching BetRivers Poker in Delaware, Michigan and West Virginia, after its Pennsylvania debut the previous November, and joining the four states into a single player pool. Shared liquidity across those states is what lets a Delaware or West Virginia player sit in the same mystery bounty field as players in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
New Jersey is not part of that pool. As of PokerFuse’s October 2026 review, BetRivers Poker had not launched in the state, earlier expected launch windows had passed, and no firm date had been announced.
Half of each prize pool funds the hidden bounty draws
The opening event uses the standard split, with half of the prize pool set aside for mystery bounties. The bounties come into play late. When a player knocks someone out during the in-the-money bounty phase, the player gets a draw for a hidden prize, and the amount appears on screen right after the elimination, PokerNews reported.
BetRivers also built table features for the format. Among them are bounty target icons that appear over players who are all-in, giving the table a visual cue about which elimination would trigger a draw.
Pennsylvania poker revenue slipped 1.76% in September
The launch lands in a flat month for poker in the network’s original state. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported statewide iGaming poker revenue of $2,270,481 for September 2026, down 1.76% from $2,311,202 in September 2025. The dip is small. It still leaves Pennsylvania poker revenue below its level of a year earlier, while new tournament formats arrive.
Michigan’s numbers point in another direction, though they cover the wider online casino market. The Michigan Gaming Control Board reported September 2026 iGaming adjusted gross receipts of $288.15 million, up 18.4% year over year, in a release that does not break out online poker separately.
The parent company is growing. In its third-quarter 2026 results, Rush Street Interactive reported revenue of $385.9 million, up 39% from $277.9 million a year earlier, and net income of $28.7 million.
The first data point on the format comes from the tables themselves. Registration for the $5 opener on the four-state network leads up to the 3:05 pm ET start on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
