Chumba Casino Review & Promo Code 2026

Chumba Casino is a US-facing social gaming platform with a promotional sweepstakes component that allows its customers a chance to redeem their winnings for cash prizes. Join Chumba Casino in October 2026 and receive a first purchase bonus that gets you a bonus Gold Coins, plus a bonus FREE Sweeps Coins for $10 instead of the regular $30 pricetag.

Found in 2017, Chumba Casino is a property of Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW), the company that also runs Global Poker and LuckyLand Sweepstakes Slots. VGW is a privately owned company based in Australia, and its US social casinos operate under US sweepstakes promotion law rather than a state gambling licence. LuckyLand Slots has since closed, and VGW now points slots players to Chumba.

Its unique business model makes the site available in most states that have not banned sweepstakes casinos (see the state list further down this page). All Chumba games were developed in-house and aren’t available on other casino sites.

Chumba Casino promotional sweepstakes

Chumba Casino’s primary tokens are Gold Coins.

Like other types of virtual chips, Gold Coins aren’t redeemable for anything of value or even transferable outside the Chumba system. Furthermore, their only purpose is to facilitate stress-free casino play.

Each Gold Coins purchase may come with sweepstakes tickets, which are called Sweeps Coins. Every player receives a bonus FREE Sweeps Coins upon creating a new Chumba account, although players must use money to purchase additional GC.

You are free to swap between playing for Gold Coins in standard play and Sweeps Coins at will. Playing for Sweeps Coins allows you to participate in the Chumba promotional sweepstakes.

Once Sweeps have been played at least once, they are redeemable for cash prizes!

(Note: Chumba is not available in Quebec, and it is not available in the US states listed in the state bans section below. Check the excluded states in Chumba’s terms before you register.)

Chumba Casino software

Chumba software is entirely browser-based, which makes it 100 percent compatible with a wide range of devices and operating systems. Whether you use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, or Safari, your computer or mobile device can launch Chumba without a hitch as long as your browser is up to date.

Once the social casino loads, you’re greeted by a flashy lobby complete with Las Vegas-inspired sound effects. Chumba has a well-designed interface that is intuitive.

If you want to browse the games, click on the arrows on the sides of the screen. Further, if you’re looking to swap to Sweeps Coins or purchase more Gold Coins, click on the appropriate button atop the screen.

You can also toggle sound effects and messages, informing you about the most recent winners, or take a look at your gaming history or past transactions.

Our only complaint is that the window size for games is relatively small in desktop mode, which doesn’t work that great with smaller monitors.

Chumba casino games

Slots

Chumba Casino features 42 video slots explicitly developed for this platform. Most of them are five-reel titles with at least 15 paylines. They also have game play-enhancing features, such as wilds, scatter symbols, and bonus rounds.

Triggering a bonus round typically awards you with free spins or takes you to a pick’em game. These tend to result in a substantial win with a bit of luck.

The visuals and sound effects are high quality, though it can be hard to differentiate some of the games from titles designed by leading slot developers such as Playtech, IGT, or Realtime Gaming. The themes do vary, so finding a slot with symbol designs that suit your taste shouldn’t be an issue.

However, most games follow well-established artistic trends, which makes them feel too familiar for casino veterans.

For example, when you launch Nefertiti’s Gold, it’s difficult not to compare it to IGT’s Cleopatra. Still, we can’t blame VGW for playing it safe regarding art design, mainly because even the largest companies design slot games to be similar to well-received titles from the past.

Progressive slots

Three of Chumba’s slots come with jackpots that grow every time someone plays Sweeps while playing. These progressive jackpots are hard to chase down, but nailing one can result in a huge win.

These FireShot Jackpot games include Stampede Fury, Reelin N Rockin, and Triple Double Fever, and are responsible for $1m+ cash prize redemptions. As of March 2020, the largest jackpot was worth a whopping 1.8 million Sweeps.

Other games

Chumba Casino gives its customers access to two additional games: video poker and blackjack. If you want to play proper online poker for free, we’d suggest social gaming sites like Clubs Poker.

Blackjack rules are standard and fair: blackjack pays 3-to-2, doubling down and splitting is allowed, insurance pays 2-to-1, and the dealer must stand on soft 17.

Chumba’s blackjack will enable you to check your odds of winning a hand by clicking a button on the table. This feature makes it easier for newbies to enjoy the action and win more without learning an in-depth blackjack strategy.

Chumba’s video poker follows classic jacks or better rules with a 7/5 paytable. The game pays 800x on a royal flush, 50x on a straight flush, 7x on a full house, and 5x on a flush.

The house edge amounts to only 3.853%, so you should familiarize yourself with this game if you’re planning to increase the size of your Sweeps bankroll.

We would love to see some live dealer games at Chumba like those you find at McLuck or Stake.us, but still, the ones Chumba does offer are high-quality and fun.

Chumba Casino’s virtual chips and prizes

For every $5 purchase in the shop, you receive 1,000,000 Gold Coins. You also receive 5.05 FREE Sweeps Coins. You must make each purchase using a Visa or Mastercard credit card. Chumba handles Sweeps redemptions with an electronic funds transfer.

New purchase options

Players looking for even more options for Gold Coin purchases and to redeem your Sweeps Coins are in luck. Chumba has partnered with the online wallet Skrill which is designed to work with mobile and in-game payments. Players can still use all current payment options. Over the coming months, Chumba will continue to add more of the things you love including games, features, and fun.

Chumba Casino FREE Sweeps Coins in 2026

At its heart, Chumba is a social casino, so don’t expect any real-money bonuses here. Nevertheless, new players from USpoker are welcomed with a very nice bonus consisting of:

• a bonus Gold Coins and a bonus FREE Sweeps Coins on sign up with no purchase required
• $30 Gold Coin purchase for only $10, comes with a bonus Gold Coins and a bonus FREE Sweeps Coins, first purchase special only (Note: Minimum casino purchase for new players is just $5)

Chumba Casino restricted states

Chumba Casino is not licensed by a state gaming regulator. Sweepstakes sites run under promotional sweepstakes law, which is why they can only operate where a state has not outlawed the dual-currency model. That list has grown quickly. These states have passed laws that ban online sweepstakes casinos:

• California: AB 831, in force from January 1, 2026
• New York: AB 6745, in force from December 5, 2025
• New Jersey: A 5447, in force from August 15, 2025
• Connecticut: SB 1235, in force from June 11, 2025
• Montana: SB 555, in force from May 12, 2025
• Indiana: HB 1052, in force from July 1, 2026
• Iowa: SF 2289, signed May 15, 2026
• Maine: LD 2007
• Louisiana: HB 883 and HB 53, signed in May 2026
• Tennessee: SB 2136, signed May 22, 2026
• Oklahoma: SB 1589, in force from November 1, 2026

Nevada, Washington, Idaho and Michigan are also off limits at most operators, because existing state gambling law or state enforcement action has closed the door there. Regulators in other states, including the Illinois Gaming Board, have sent cease-and-desist letters to operators, so the map keeps moving.

VGW withdrew its sweepstakes play from New York ahead of that state’s ban, with operations ending by August 1, 2025, and Chumba is not available in Quebec either.

The operator’s own terms always carry the current list of excluded states, and that list is the one that decides whether you can play. Read it before you register or buy a coin package, and never use a VPN to get around a state block, since that breaks the terms and can void any prize.

Real-money online casinos are legal and licensed only in New Jersey (Division of Gaming Enforcement), Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board), Michigan (Michigan Gaming Control Board), West Virginia (West Virginia Lottery), Connecticut (Department of Consumer Protection, Gaming Division), Delaware (Delaware Lottery) and Rhode Island (Rhode Island Lottery). If you live in one of those states, a state-licensed site from our online casino guide gives you the protection of a gaming regulator, which a sweepstakes site does not.

Play responsibly at Chumba Casino: age limits and help

You must be 21 or older to play at Chumba Casino, and the operator checks your identity before it pays out a cash prize. Free coins do not change the fact that buying coin packages costs real money, so set a budget before you start and use the purchase limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools in your account settings.

If gambling stops being fun, help is free and confidential. Call 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit the National Council on Problem Gambling, which lists state helplines and treatment services across the US.
