Bonus Bucks: New Rewards System Heading to PokerStars USA; SCOOP Also Coming to American Markets on March 25
Players in the US online poker market are about to receive some bonuses. The new PokerStars Rewards is coming to the American platform soon, USPoker has learned.
The company is bringing more value to the US markets of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan. The move comes after Stars launched the new Rewards system on the international platform in 2021 as well.
“Listening to community feedback, we know our players want more rewards, more ways to earn rewards, more transparency, and simplicity,” PokerStars managing director Severin Rasset said at the time of that release.
What to expect with PokerStars Rewards
As Rasset noted in the earlier launch, the new program should offer more opportunities to earn rewards and value. The launch of PokerStars Rewards internationally followed a three-month trial.
Player input and feedback were critical in improving the new program, Stars officials noted. Transparency was a key part of the program’s launch.
“Our recent trial program was not only very positively received – overall we saw a 78% jump in satisfaction scores for the players participating, but it also gave us more ideas about how to make it even better,” Rasset said during the international launch.
“Working directly with our community has been hugely energizing for us and we’re happy that the new rewards program launching today has truly been built by our players for the players.”
There are no specifics yet on the US program yet, but international players have found some nice returns including:
- Up to 65% in rewards, made up of 25% in rewards for players in the core program. Those who qualify for Monthly Challenges can earn up to 40% more.
- Rewarding players for their play across all poker games – from freeroll tournaments to cash games. Players in high stakes cash games and tournaments also earn rewards.
- Rewards for real-money activity across all gaming options. That includes online poker, sportsbook, and casino play. Rewards are personalized based on a player’s interests and games played.
While those may not be exactly what US players can expect, something along those lines seems likely. A complete announcement is expected in the coming days.
SCOOP dates unveiled
Along with a new PokerStars Rewards program, US players can also look for one of the site’s signature series soon. The company has announced that the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) returns March 25 – April 11.
The series will be available across the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan platforms. Players can expect numerous tournaments across 18 days of action. Look for buy-ins for every bankroll and skill level.
Last year’s series produced big numbers across the three states. SCOOP 2021 paid out $6.4 million to players. That total was more than $1 million over the $5.2 million guarantee.
The festival brought in more than 117,000 entries with 406 players earning titles. That helped make the series the largest online poker festival of 2021. PokerStars officials are hoping for even bigger numbers in 2022.
