Poker Room at M Resort Closes

The M Resort closed its poker room today.  The poker room had struggled in the competitive Las Vegas poker market.

The last major poker event hosted by the M Resort was the Hollywood Poker Open, which is operated by Penn National Gaming, parent company of M Resort.  The championship event was a success as it drew 631 players and generated a $1.4 million prize pool.  This did not help the poker room maintain action after the series ended.

The author of this article visited the M Resort on several occasions to compile data for the Two Plus Two Las Vegas Poker Survey.  The M typically hosted just one or two cash games on Saturday nights that I collected data.

Players that earned comps through the poker room did not lose them.  Poker points may be redeemed using the iMagine Rewards card anywhere on the M Resort property that accepts points for payment.

LVH Poker Room Reopens

While the M Resort poker room is closing, the LVH will reopen its poker room today.  The poker room was temporarily closed as the casino worked to fill the manager position.
