Your Guide To Watching Live Coverage Of The 2018 World Series of Poker
Poker Central began its live streaming partnership with the World Series of Poker last year. Through its paid streaming service, PokerGO, Poker Central aimed to elevate the live streams to broadcast quality.
Many complained about the smaller streaming schedule on PokerGO compared to the free live streaming service provided by WSOP.com in years past. The biggest uproar last year came when there wasn’t a live stream for Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. The final table included Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow, John Monnette, and eventual winner Abe Mosseri and players wanted to watch.
Overall, it was the lack of flexibility to follow the stories that left players and fans wanting the old streaming product back.
Poker Central expands its live streaming content schedule
The good news is, it appears Poker Central listened when creating its plan for 2018.
“We’re eager to continue our live coverage of the WSOP on PokerGO for the second year running,” said Poker Central VP of Content Sam Simmons. “Our expanded coverage schedule including a wide array of poker variants will give our viewers even more opportunities to follow all the action of the world’s most prestigious tournament series.”
The WSOP live streaming schedule includes 16 final table broadcasts, a variety of game types, and will offer two days of coverage for the Big One for One Drop.
Plus, Poker Central and ESPN will once again offer complete coverage of the Main Event from start to finish.
Executive Director of the WSOP Ty Stewart said, “We’re looking forward to having Poker Central and ESPN tag team coverage for the WSOP again this year. Fans can expect stellar storylines and wall-to-wall coverage throughout the event and during the ‘Big One for One Drop.’”
