Paddy Power Poker joins PokerStars Network, leaving Sky Poker as Flutter’s last iPoker room
Flutter moved Paddy Power Poker from Playtech's iPoker network to the PokerStars Network on Oct. 28, the second of its brands to switch after Betfair in August. The move builds out a B2B network that now competes with GGPoker and iPoker for outside operators, as US platform deals such as WSOP Online's 888 contract approach expiry.
- Paddy Power Poker switched to the PokerStars Network on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and players had one day's warning.
- Betfair Poker left iPoker on Aug. 13 and was rebranded as PokerStars on Betfair, making Paddy Power the second Flutter brand to move.
- PokerStars relaunched in the US as PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel on April 1, 2026, on Playtech's iPoker software, merging New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania into one network.
- 888 has supplied WSOP Online's US software since its 2013 launch, and the deal, renewed for five years in 2021, is due to expire in 2026.
Paddy Power Poker players got one day’s warning. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the room left Playtech’s iPoker network and went live on the PokerStars Network, pokerfuse reported. Paddy Power is the second Flutter brand to make the move this year, after Betfair in August. With both now on the PokerStars Network, Sky Poker is the only Flutter brand still on iPoker, according to Poker Industry PRO, which broke the news of the switch.
Sky Poker is Flutter’s only room left on iPoker
Betfair set the pattern. From Aug. 13, Betfair Poker dropped iPoker for the new PokerStars Network and was rebranded as PokerStars on Betfair, pokerfuse reported at the time. Ireland was handled differently: Betfair Poker closed there, and its players were pointed to the PokerStars dot-com network. Earlier in October, the old PokerStars UK client was shut down and its players were moved to PokerStars on Betfair, according to PokerScout.
Flutter’s August announcement presented the program as an extension of work already done, citing completed migrations with FanDuel in the US and with its Sisal and SNAI brands in Italy, Gaming Intelligence reported. In the same release, PokerStars Chief Commercial Officer Mike Woodbridge said patchy regulation from market to market had fragmented the global game and pushed the company to leave some markets and stay out of others. The migrations have also shown up in Flutter’s financial reporting. Its Q1 2026 update credited PokerStars migrations with helping international growth and said PokerStars revenue was now above its Covid-era peak.
PokerStars opened its network to outside operators in September
The Paddy Power switch is the second step in Flutter turning PokerStars into a B2B network that pools players from several brands. For 25 years, PokerStars had never made its platform available to third parties. That changed in September, when the company launched the PokerStars Network as a complete B2B offering, letting outside operators use its software, games and brands and tap into its shared player pool, pokerfuse reported.
That puts PokerStars in direct competition with GGPoker and iPoker for outside poker brands. For Playtech, the Flutter moves mean two brands have left iPoker since Aug. 13. One remains. Each brand that consolidates onto the PokerStars Network adds to the shared player pool that PokerStars is now offering to third parties.
PokerStars on FanDuel still runs on Playtech’s iPoker software
The US side runs the other way. When PokerStars relaunched as PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel on April 1, 2026, it dropped its own in-house client for Playtech’s iPoker software and merged New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania into one network, pokerfuse reported. The Michigan Gaming Control Board approved FanDuel for multi-state internet poker with Pennsylvania and New Jersey effective that day, with the product running under the PokerStars brand and MotorCity Casino as the Michigan operator partner.
That three-state shared-liquidity setup is the model Flutter is now applying to its European brands, even though the US product sits on a rival’s software. Early results were positive: FanDuel Poker’s revenue rose 12% year on year in May 2026, according to pokerfuse. Its competitors were heading the other way later in the summer. Poker Industry PRO estimates that WSOP Online, still the biggest US online poker network by estimated revenue, fell 10% year on year in August, while BetMGM Poker fell 16%. The figures cover different months, so they are not a like-for-like comparison, but they point in opposite directions.
WSOP Online’s 888 contract expires in 2026
The timing of Flutter’s B2B push lines up with a US contract coming due. 888 has supplied WSOP Online’s US software since the network launched in 2013, and the deal, renewed for five years in 2021, is due to expire in 2026, pokerfuse reported. A Caesars job posting shows the company plans to run WSOP Online on a third-party poker platform rather than build its own. The posting does not name a provider.
A handover is not expected immediately. The 888 platform could stay in use through the end of 2026, with a switch possibly coming in early 2027, according to pokerfuse’s latest assessment. That leaves WSOP Online’s choice of platform open at a point when PokerStars, GGPoker and iPoker are all competing for outside poker brands, and when Flutter’s own US room still depends on Playtech software.
Flutter’s next update on the business is set. The company will publish its Q3 2026 results before the US market opens on Nov. 4, at 7:00 a.m. ET, and will hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. ET.
