Heads Up To Heads-Up Players, New Borgata Poker Leaderboard Promo
If your favorite kind of poker is one-on-one, a new leaderboard contest from Borgata Poker might be right up your alley.
The New Jersey online poker site is running a two-week leaderboard contest for low and high buy-in heads-up no-limit hold’em Sit & Gos. There is $2,500 in tournament dollars up for grabs for the top 15 finishers on each leaderboard courtesy of Borgata.
How to qualify
Low leaderboard
Earning points for the leaderboard is rather easy. For the lower limits, players simply need to play in qualifying $1, $2, $5, and $10 sit & go’s.
Leaderboard points are determined based on a formula that factors in buy-in and finishing position, with winners earning a points bonus. The precise formula for both the low and high leaderboards is as follows:
The top 15 players will earn the following prizes in tournament dollars according to final tournament leaderboard position:
- 1st place: $150
- 2nd place: $100
- 3rd place: $75
- 4th place: $50
- 5th place: $25
- 6th-15th place: $10
High leaderboard
For the higher limits, players simply need to play in qualifying $20, $50, $100, $200, and $500 SnGs. Leaderboard points are determined based on a formula that factors in buy-in and finishing position, with winners earning a points bonus.
The top 15 players will earn the following prizes in tournament dollars according to final tournament leaderboard position:
- 1st place: $500
- 2nd place: $350
- 3rd place: $250
- 4th place: $150
- 5th-6th place: $100
- 7th-10th place: $75
- 11th-15th place: $50
There are a few terms and conditions for the promotion.
Winners will only receive tournament dollars as compensation. The winning players will see the money credited to their accounts within five business days of the promotion concluding. The site will also be monitoring SnG play for signs of collusion and are capable of disqualifying anyone participating in any suspect activity.

One of the perks of the heads-up promotion is reduced competition from other regular leaderboard competitors. The month-long regular multi-table tournament leaderboard contest is still running. Players will be spending the last week of the month trying to rack up as many points as possible before the month ends on the 28th.
This is also the best leaderboard option for Sit & Go players. The Grind leaderboard is for cash game players, the big monthly leaderboard is MTT-focused, and the heads-up challenge is the only current promotion for SnG players.
Looking at the other poker sites in New Jersey, this is the only option for heads-up minded players across every site. PokerStars NJ is offering no SnG promotions at the moment.
WSOP NJ is offering a sit & go leaderboard, but nothing catering specifically to heads-up players.
