Global Poker Grizzly Games Pays Out More Than SC$2 Million
The month-long Global Poker Grizzly Games tournament series came to an end this past weekend. Overall, the second installment of the Global Poker Championships awarded real cash prizes to over 200 Grizzly Game cChampions and paid out more than SC$2,000,000, eclipsing the guarantee of SC$1,500,00.
Grizzly Games champions also earned a one-of-a-kind trophy and a swag bag that included Global Poker t-shirts and hats.
Grizzly Games series results
The series was capped off with the SC$218 buy-in, SC$50,000 guaranteed Grizzly Games Main Event. The marquee tournament of the series generated an impressive prize pool of SC$82,800 after 415 players battled it out for the title.
Global Poker players ‘smacchamp2015’ and ‘Oghab’ ultimately played heads-up for the SC$15,690 first-place prize. On the final hand, Oghab went all in with jack-eight of clubs and smacchamp2015 called with king-ten. Oghab wasn’t able to improve and was sent to the rail in second place, leaving ‘smacchamp2015’ as the last player standing.
A $5,000 live tournament package was also up for grabs during the series. The winner of the series leaderboard would represent Global Poker at the event of their choice sometime in 2018.
After a month of consistent play, including a pair of tournament wins, ‘MommyGingery’ ended up on top for the overall title, claiming the second $5,000 package ever awarded.
