New Jersey Tournament Traffic Rundown for the Week Ending 3/16/2014

In our fourth week of tracking New Jersey’s online poker tournament action, we take a look at the week ending March 16.

Things went much more smoothly after the previous week’s technical issues in the Sunday $50k. This time around, 342 players entered the tournament. “ParMaker” won first place with a prize of $12,021. Traffic in the $10k guaranteed nightly tournaments remained steady, on par with previous weeks, at an average of 122 players a night.
WSOP
The week saw a drop in the average number of entrants in the $5k guaranteed nightly tournaments, decreasing to 214, the lowest turnout in four weeks. The Sunday $109 buy-in, $10k guarantee also dropped to a low of 118 players, with “KNP09123” defeating the field and pocketing $3,304.
In the $25k Sunday major, player turnout increased slightly from 133 in the previous week to 138. Player “azulciel” came out on top and took home $7,590.

Average traffic in 888’s $1,500 guaranteed nightly events rose to its peak level in the past four weeks at 68 runners. In the Sunday $10k major, 56 players entered, with “itwasalladrm” banking $3,108 for first prize.
Ultimate Poker
Ultimate’s traffic in its nightly $5k guaranteed tourneys dropped drastically since last week’s NO-verlay promotions, averaging 75 players tonight, compared to 150 in the previous week. In the Sunday $20k major, player participation dropped from 300 during the promotional week to 119. That figure is the lowest we’ve seen yet since tracking began four weeks ago. Coming out on top that Sunday was “outsideinnj,” who took home $5,830.
