PGT name heads to offshore CoinPoker for $250 million online circuit and $1 million final

CoinPoker says it will run PokerGO Tour Online, a year of six online series carrying $250 million in guarantees that feed 50 seats into a $1 million winner-take-all final in Las Vegas. The move puts the PGT brand on an offshore crypto site while the live tour's 2026 presenting sponsor, Global Poker, is being sued by Florida.

  • PGT Online is scheduled to run from November 2026 to November 2027 across six series with $250 million in guarantees, according to PokerScout.
  • The six series feed 50 seats into a $1 million winner-take-all live final at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, scheduled for January 2028.
  • The opening series, the PGT KickOff Online, guarantees $50 million and runs Nov. 8-30.
  • Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier filed two lawsuits on Aug. 19, 2026, that target VGW's Global Poker, among other sites, under the state's gambling laws and FDUTPA.

CoinPoker posted on X on Oct. 23 that it and PokerGO are launching PokerGO Tour Online, a year-long online circuit that ends at a $1 million live final in Las Vegas. The schedule is large. PGT Online starts in November 2026, ends in November 2027 and carries $250 million in guarantees across six series, PokerScout reported.

The circuit feeds 50 seats into a $1 million winner-take-all final at the PokerGO Studio, scheduled for January 2028. That gives the PGT name a qualifying route that runs through an offshore crypto site rather than a state-regulated US operator, a path that raises compliance and access questions for American players who follow the tour at ARIA.

The announcement followed a buildup. Earlier that week, PokerScout reported on a CoinPoker teaser posted to X on Oct. 19 and on a company release pledging that the site would stage events jointly with PokerGO across a full year. The public details so far come through CoinPoker’s own channels.

PGT KickOff Online opens Nov. 8 with a $50 million guarantee

The first of the six series, the PGT KickOff Online, guarantees $50 million and runs Nov. 8-30. It opens with a $530 PokerGO Kickoff guaranteed at $1 million. It closes with a $530 KickOff Main Event guaranteed at $5 million, with Day 2 on Nov. 30.

In between sits the Nov. 15 $530 Mystery Million, guaranteed at $1 million. It will be the first Mystery Bounty event on CoinPoker, with a top bounty of $50,000.

The $50 million figure for the KickOff matches the guarantee CoinPoker set for its first Global Online Poker Championship. That series paid out $88.44 million against its $50 million guarantee, drawing 2,122,920 entries from 48,815 unique players in 172 countries over 37 days, according to Card Player. It does not, on its own, show how a PokerGO-branded schedule will perform.

CoinPoker built its PokerGO ties through High Stakes Poker and Ausmus

The tour deal follows months of tighter links between the two companies. CoinPoker was the presenting sponsor of seven straight days of live High Stakes Poker on PokerGO from Aug. 25-31, Card Player reported, and PokerGO CEO Brent Hanks welcomed CoinPoker as presenting sponsor in a published statement.

A joint promotion followed. CoinPoker and PokerGO are giving away a $100,000 High Stakes Poker seat, with online qualifying from Sept. 6 to Oct. 25 and a final table draw among eight weekly winners on Oct. 31.

The crossover also shows up on the live felt. CoinPoker ambassador Jeremy Ausmus won his 10th PGT title at the Poker Masters, taking the $15,700 no-limit event for $278,400, PokerStrategy.com reported. A CoinPoker-branded player already sits among the tour’s title winners, and the online circuit now gives the site its own lane into PGT branding.

The live tour keeps its own calendar. The PGT Championship returns Jan. 11-12, 2027, as a $500,000 freeroll, according to the PokerGO Tour’s site. The online final, by contrast, is a year further out and is set up as a single $1 million winner-take-all prize.

Global Poker, the live PGT’s 2026 presenting sponsor, faces Florida suits

The online launch lands while the live tour’s commercial partner is in court. PokerTube describes the live PokerGO Tour as presented by Global Poker for its 2026 season. Global Poker is a VGW brand.

On Aug. 19, Uthmeier filed two lawsuits in Hillsborough County Circuit Court, according to the Florida Office of the Attorney General. They target Stake, VGW’s Chumba Casino, LuckyLand and Global Poker, along with their payment processors, under the state’s gambling laws and the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

The stakes for VGW are considerable. The complaint states that VGW’s platforms brought in more than $5 billion in revenue in 2025, $3.7 billion of it from Chumba Casino, Legal Sports Report reported. It also names Michael Phelps’ promotion of Global Poker.

Florida widened the pressure beyond the operators. Uthmeier sent letters to Google, Meta, Reddit, Snap and TikTok naming Chumba Casino, LuckyLand, Global Poker and Stake, and asked each company to confirm in writing by Oct. 23, 2026, what it has done to stop promoting those sites to Floridians. That deadline fell on the same day CoinPoker posted the PGT Online news.

Taken together, the PGT name is now attached to a sweepstakes sponsor under state litigation on the live side and an offshore crypto operator on the online side.

The online circuit’s opening card is fixed. Play begins Nov. 8 with the $530 PokerGO Kickoff and its $1 million guarantee.
