Plaza Temporarily Closes Poker Room, Set to Reopen September 9th
The Plaza poker room has temporarily closed. It is scheduled to reopen on September 9th. The poker room opened in July with three PokerPro electronic tables, which are distributed by Pokertek.
The poker room was in a test period that lasted about one month. The Plaza has decided to move forward with the electronic poker room. David Cardenas has been hired to manage the Plaza poker room. He worked at the recently shuttered M Resort poker room.
There will be a number of poker promotions at the Plaza when its poker room reopens. Players will receive a 20% hotel discount for giving four hours of poker action. A Royal Flush bonus and a weekly freeroll will also be offered.
The poker room will be open from 10am to midnight. One daily tournament will be offered.
The Plaza is located in downtown Las Vegas at the intersection of Fremont Street and Main Street. It is owned by Tamares Group, which also owns the Las Vegas Club, located across Main Street in the Fremont Street Experience. The company recent rolled out its Royal Rewards players club.
