PokerGO Expands WSOP Main Event Coverage, Streaming Begins Thursday With Day 1A

After over a month of action at the World Series of Poker, the biggest event of the series cranks up this week. The $10,000 Main Event begins on Thursday and PokerGO will stream the tournament throughout.

After recently announcing two additional starting flights, the streaming service has adjusted its schedule as well. Plans call for the platform to show the Main Event from start to finish starting with Day 1A beginning on Thursday.

“PokerGO could not be more excited to deliver live coverage of the entire 2021 WSOP Main Event to the global poker audience,” PokerGO President Mori Eskandani says. “Starting Thursday, November 4, daily live streams of the 2021 WSOP Main Event will be available exclusively on PokerGO.com, and we are confident that offering live coverage all in one place will improve the viewing experience.

“Viewers should also be pleased to know that the longtime WSOP commentary duo of Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will anchor this year’s broadcast, along with Ali Nejad, Nick Schulman, Jamie Kerstetter, and Jeff Platt. Furthermore, PokerGO plans to enhance its coverage with look-ins to action beyond the feature tables so viewers can be more involved in following the greatest poker tournament in the world.”

The expanded starting flights mean expanded streaming options for poker fans. All coverage will stream on PokerGO, with episodic coverage following at a later date via CBS Sports Network.

Players will find six starting flights and PokerGO will be streaming four of those. The series also features two Day 2s with the platform showing both of those as well. Here’s look at the complete Main Event schedule with the inclusion of the new starting flights.

More events still on tap at PokerGO

Beyond the Main Event, several other events still remain on the PokerGO streaming schedule. Poker fans will have plenty of action still to check out in the coming weeks.

One of the biggest of those is the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, beginning on Nov. 5. PokerGO officials note that the event coverage may include check-ins on the Main Event as well.

Additional WSOP  action also includes the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty on Nov. 19. That event buy-in honors the year the Poker Hall of Fame was created.

Members of the Hall of Fame also receive a freeroll in the tournament and have a bounty on their heads for the year they were inducted into the hall. Plenty of poker legends should be out in force, making for some interesting viewing.

Here’s a look at the remaining events on the PokerGO schedule beyond the Main Event.
