What to expect from PokerStars Road to PSPC PA events

The Platinum Pass has become one of the biggest prizes in poker. Each pass is worth $30,000 and includes:

  • $25,000 PSPC tournament buy-in
  • six nights hotel accommodation for winner and a guest in a five-star hotel
  • flights and airport transfers
  • $1,900 in expenses
  • exclusive Platinum Pass winner experiences

The new events kick off with a women’s event and finds players battling in both Philadelphia and the Pittsburgh area. PokerStars is a leader in the Keystone State market and just completed the PASCOOP in the state.

That series awarded two Platinum Passes as well. Players in the Pennsylvania area now have even more opportunities to win with these upcoming Road to PSPC tournaments:

  • $200 women’s event at Live! Casino (Philadelphia) – Oct. 8-9
  • $360 Road to PSPC Main Event at Live! Casino with $200,000 guaranteed (Philadelphia) – Oct. 13-16
  • $360 Road to PSPC Live! Casino Pittsburgh (Greensburg) – Oct. 27-30

More Road to PSPC events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

A look at Platinum Pass winners so far

Several American online poker players have already cashed in for a Platinum Pass. Last week in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, players on the USCOOP leaderboard played a freeroll for a chance to earn a pass.

The top two winners of each freeroll received the prize and have booked their spot in the PSPC in the Bahamas. Those winners include:

  • Barrett Lipkin (PA)
  • Joseph Nicholas (PA)
  • Scott Brown (MI)
  • Jason Brown (MI)
  • Ramon Liriano (NJ)
  • Corey Hersch (NJ)

The action doesn’t stop there. An October freeroll is also on the horizon, following the same format as September’s leaderboard. Two players from each state will join the ranks of big US winners heading to the Bahamas in January.
