WSOP.com Brings Back Limit Games In Nevada, NJ To Follow
Fixed limit games are once again available at WSOP.com Nevada. The games reappeared in the software over the weekend. The games were removed in February. WSOP.com cited a technical glitch in the limit software as the reason the games were temporarily unavailable.
This change brings back Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em, Fixed Limit Omaha High/Low, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud High/Low. Action was sparse at these limit games before being taken out of the software. The most common limit games were 15/30 Hold’em, 3/6 Omaha High/Low, and Seven Card Stud High/Low at 2/4 and 3/6 limits.
Many regulars complained at tables and to WSOP.com through support and forums about the loss of these fixed limit games. Some Omaha and Seven Card Stud players took up Pot Limit Omaha High/Low during the absence of fixed limit games. Others left WSOP altogether, hoping that limit games would one day return.
Players returned to the Seven Card Stud High/Low tables immediately. Other limit games have seen little action.
Limit games are not yet live in New Jersey. Bill Rini, Head of Online Poker at WSOP.com, tells USPoker that New Jersey will once again have limit games available in about 10 business days.
This is due to a 10-day notification period required by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
