WSOP Online Bracelet Preview: The Last One We’re Sure New Jersey Players Can Play
As part of our ongoing World Series of Poker (WSOP) coverage, we will be previewing the online bracelet events that will take place each week.
This week’s online bracelet event is Event #24, the $600 buy-in pot-limit Omaha 6-max event. Unfortunately, due to uncertainty about the Department of Justice‘s Wire Act opinion, this tournament is the last online event we are sure New Jersey players can play.
To be clear, WSOP officials are confident that New Jersey players will have access to all nine online events this year. The only reason we’re less sure is the unpredictability of what the DOJ will do as its June 14 deadline approaches.
So, Garden State players, make sure not to miss this weekend’s event. We sincerely hope that you’ll be able to play the rest, but we’re sure about this one.

EVENT #24: $600 pot-limit Omaha 6-max
Let’s break down what’s happening in this tournament. Obviously, for starters, it’s a pot-limit Omaha event, so the variance and required hand strength will be on the rise.
The $600 price tag for a buy-in is still pretty inexpensive for a shot at a bracelet. This tournament features unlimited re-entry until registration ends.
The 6-Max aspect means that players will be able to play a wider selection of hands. Play will also move faster, which is good, since Omaha tends to deal slower than hold’em.
Registration for this tournament will last for 3 hours and 45 minutes. Blind levels will be 20 minutes long.
There are still four satellites available for players to win a seat in this tournament. They are:
- Gold Bracelet Event Freeroll – June 7
- Open to players with Welcome Week Freeroll tickets
- $600 WSOP Online Bracelet PLO Seat Satellite – June 7
- $10 buy-in
- 25 Seats GTD – Mega Satellite to WSOP #24 – $600 PLO Online – June 8
- $33 buy-in
- VIP $600 PLO Online Bracelet Freeroll
- Invited players only
At the time of this writing, there are only 19 players registered. However, with a gold bracelet on the line, expect that number to skyrocket. There should be plenty of money in the pot this weekend.
