Delaware Online Gambling July Revenue: Best In 3 Months Overall, Poker Sees 3rd Month Of Slump
The Delaware Internet Lottery broke a record in July. The monthly results were otherwise mixed against the previous month and 2014.
Online blackjack and roulette combined to win $38,606 in July. That was up 15 percent over the previous month but was down 60 percent from July 2014.
Slots and Jacks or Better video poker won $75,319, up 40 percent from the previous month and 41 percent over the year before. That amount was the most won at slots and video poker in the Delaware Internet Lottery’s history.
Online poker slides again
Online poker posted its third straight losing month. Rake was $28,158. That was down eight percent from June and 10 percent over the previous year. These numbers are even more disappointing when taking into consideration that Delaware online poker now joins the WSOP.com Nevada site.
WSOP.com Nevada hosted more players than normal during July due to the World Series of Poker. The additional liquidity was not enough to stop the downward trend in Delaware online poker.
Now for the good news
All Delaware Internet Lottery games combined to win $142,083. That was the best overall month since March 2015.
There was another bright spot in the July report. There were 378 new accounts created during the month.
That was the highest number of new accounts created in a month since September 2014. This appears to be a contributing factor in the record hold at slots and video poker in July. The addition of new slot titles may have also helped attract more action.
