It may be winter, but someone forgot to tell New Jersey online poker. The tournament scene will heat up when the second annual New Jersey Poker Classic Series at 888poker gets underway on February 9, 2018.
Last year’s event was a huge success with over 100 players participating in all 12 events. The $500,000 series prize-pool guarantee was shattered as a final tally of $640,000 was paid out to players over 11 poker-packed days.
A Bigger and Better Poker Classic Series
You can expect to see a bigger and better series in February. There are more events (57), more days (17) and a bigger guarantee ($800,000), which all point to more players taking to the virtual felt.
The Poker Classic Series is comprised of primarily no-limit hold’em events, but there are a few PLO tournaments on the schedule. The buy-ins range from $20 to $1,000, which provides an opportunity for everyone to take part in one of the most exciting online tournament series in New Jersey.
The marquee event of the series is the $100,000 guaranteed Main Event. Last year, the Main Event attracted 156 players who generated a prize pool of $123,288. The guarantee is expected to be trounced once again as players look to claim the top spot and the prestigious New Jersey Poker Classic Series gold belt.
