Ticket Time: Partypoker US Network Celebrates One Year in Michigan With ‘Thank You’ Freeroll; March Poker Mania Entries Up for Grabs
After a year in the Michigan market, Partypoker US Network is celebrating by giving away some free tournament tickets this weekend. With the March Poker Mania series kicking off on Sunday, the company is hosting a $10,000 freeroll on Saturday at 4 pm.
The network is available via the BetMGM skin in the state and registration for the freeroll has already begun.
What to expect from the freeroll
As in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, online poker in Michigan is a ringed-in market, meaning players only compete against others within that state. The freeroll offers a bit of a celebration for the network’s third US market. Some nice rewards are heading to those who finish in the money.
The top prize is a $1,060 ticket to either the March Poker Mania Heads-Up Bracket Battle or the Main Event. The Bracket Battle runs March 26 and brings some March Madness-style fun to the poker series and is capped at 32 players.
The Main Event is set for March 27 and comes with a $100,000 guarantee. Players can enter the freeroll tournament until the end of
the first level.
The network is adding some other nice prizes for those who finish in the top 100. Here’s a complete look at the Match Poker Mani tickets awarded to winners in the freeroll.
- 1st: $1,060 ticket to March Poker Mania Heads-Up Bracket Battle or Main Event
- 2nd – 4th: $535 ticket
- 5th – 12th: $320 ticket
- 13th – 28th: $215 ticket
- 29th – 45th: $55 ticket
- 46th – 70th: $10 BetMGM tournament ticket
- 70th – 100th: $5 BetMGM tournament ticket
March Poker Mania kicks off Sunday
The March madness begins Sunday for players in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The series features $1.3 million in total guaranteed prize pools with 19 events in each state.
The series becomes the latest festival for the platform as it recently rebranded its Online Series to more distinct event names. BetMGM/partypoker US director of poker Luke Staudenmaier spoke with USPoker this week about some of the company’s poker efforts.
With the March series, that included “hosts” for events in each state. BetMGM ambassador and four-time World Poker Tour champion Darren Elias takes that role in New Jersey.
Poker pro and coach Matt Berkey hosts in Pennsylvania and poker vlogger Andrew Neeme in Michigan. Berkey will stream much of his play and is promising some giveaways throughout the series.
