January Looks Like A Blockbuster Month For Poker Live Streams
Contents
That’s not because illegal torrents of the newly released Molly Bloom bio-pic Molly’s Game will likely be all over the internet and available for download by the middle of the month. Nor is it because your favorite poker content subscription service is kicking off the month with a live-streamed series of new Poker After Dark episodes featuring an all-female lineup.
It’s because two of the biggest names in live tournament poker will be offering up a plethora of live-streamed action from two rather exotic locales.
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure live on the internet
PokerStars returns to the Bahamas this month for the reincarnation of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Of course, that means it is bringing what used to be the EPT Live crew with it. That also means a healthy schedule of cards-up live streaming action from the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the first half of January. In fact, eight straight days of live-streamed coverage of the 2018 PCA begins January 7, 2018.
The full live streaming schedule includes live, on-delay, coverage, with hole cards, of events including the PCA $100K SUPER High Roller, PCA $50K High Roller, and PCA Main Event. Commentating duties will be left in the more-than-capable hands of the venerable team of James Hartigan, Joe Stapleton, and Matt Broughton. Plus, they will most likely be joined by the usual cast of Team PokerStars Pros providing expert analysis throughout.
PokerStars has been providing fans with the most professionally produced live streams in poker for the better part of a decade now. Coverage of the 2018 PCA will likely live up to its high standards.
The full live stream broadcast schedule includes:
- Jan 07 12:30 p.m. ET PCA $100K SUPER High Roller Day 2
- Jan 08 3:30 p.m. ET PCA $100K SUPER High Roller Final Table
- Jan 09 3:30 p.m. ET PCA $50K High Roller Final Table

PokerStars will make the broadcast available absolutely free through a number of websites, including the PokerStars Twitch channel.
Two WPT European Championship Festival live streams
In the meantime, the World Poker Tour is headed over to the German capital city of Berlin. That’s where it will host the WPT European Championship Festival running Jan. 5 to 15, 2018.
The schedule includes the €1,350 + €150 buy-in €500,000 Guaranteed WPTDeepStacks Berlin event and the €3,000 + €300 buy-in €1,000,000 Guaranteed WPT European Championship Berlin Main Event.
The nine-handed final table of the WPTDeepStacks Berlin event will be live streamed on a 30-minute delay beginning at 3 p.m. local time Jan. 8.
The six-handed WPT European Championship Berlin Main Event final table will be filmed for TV broadcast at a later date. Plus, a live stream of the event on a 30-minute delay will be available on January 15 from 4 p.m. local time.
Both live streams will be available for free on the WPT’s Twitch channel.
More live stream action
With all that live action, Twitch poker is expected to be a busy place this month. Plus, most of your favorite online poker streamers will surely be looking to put their best foot forward to start off the New Year.
Additionally, one can get their cash game stream fix watching Live at the Bike this month. The Friday night stream will feature a $25/$50 no-limit hold’em game with a $100 big blind ante that’s sure to see some massive pots.
Live at the Bike is also planning to stream Monday to Thursday featuring the enigmatic Joey Ingram on Mondays. A variety of different cash games fill out their schedule for the rest of the week.
From high-roller live tournaments to mid-stakes cash games, the WPT in Europe and online reg action, there’s a ton of live streaming poker action to choose from in January.
Plus, it all leads into the beginning of February when the inaugural US Poker Open will kick off on PokerGo. Plus, American Jason Somerville will host a live stream of the Aussie Millions Main Event from Melbourne, Australia.
