More Tournament Action Kicks Off For WSOP Players In Pennsylvania; 21 Events, $500K Planned
Following the conclusion of the World Series of Poker bracelet events in Pennsylvania, WSOP.com continues the action for the rest of August. The Keystone Classic series features 21 events running Aug. 22-31 with a $500,000 guarantee.
Tournaments will be available to players physically located in the state of PA. WSOP.com officially debuted in the Keystone State in July and now offers players even more reasons to get in the action.
WSOP.com Keystone Classic standout events
The new event series offers a good mix of tournaments. Players will find event options in No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Deepstacks, Turbos, and PKO events. Buy-ins for the series range from $50 to $500.
The $100 Main Event highlights the Classic on Aug. 29 with a $100,000 guarantee. Some other highlighted events include:
- $100 PLO PKO (Event 9, Aug. 24) – $10,000 guaranteed
- $100 NLHE Deepstack Eight-Max (Event 14, Aug. 28) – $25,000 guaranteed
- $500 High Roller (Event 19, Aug. 31) – $30,000 guaranteed

Big Sunday events continue
During this series, the weekly Sunday $100,000 guaranteed event will also run. According to the site, players in this event also earn a 30x POY multiplier. Here’s a quick look at that event for Pennsylvania players:

- Buy-in: $320
In Pennsylvania, WSOP.com doesn’t share liquidity with other states at this time. The platform also offers a new software update that other states haven’t seen yet. That has been received well with players.
“I like the new software setup,” says Christopher Larrea, a poker player from Philadelphia. “I will be playing more often online if they continue to have big tournaments.”
