BetMGM Teams With PokerGO for $1M Aria Event; $25,000 Freeroll Added for Online Qualifiers
Even more is in the works for players in this month’s BetMGM Poker Championship at Aria Las Vegas. The company announced an agreement with PokerGO on Friday that will see the final table streamed on the platform.
The $3,500 buy-in tournament is set for June 23-26 with a $1 million guarantee. The final table now plays out from the PokerGO Studio. BetMGM, a part of the partypoker US Network, has also announced some added value for online qualifiers.
Aria and BetMGM will host a $25,000 freeroll tournament in the PokerGO Studio for all those who win a tournament package online.
“There is great momentum around the inaugural BetMGM Poker Championship,” BetMGM director of poker Luke Staudenmaier said. “We’re thrilled that our players have been energized by our latest omni-channel offering, as we continue to partner with MGM Resorts to connect our players to a world-class brick-and-mortar experience.

Inside the MGM-PokerGO deal
Adding a live streaming aspect to the event ramps up the event even more. The tournament is set right in the middle of the Vegas summer poker boom.

Players looking for a big guarantee after the World Series of Poker can head over to the Aria for a nice guaranteed prize pool. On June 25, Aria also hosts the $600 BetMGM Poker Mystery Bounty, which should interest players as well.
Online poker a big part of series, new freeroll launched for online qualifiers
As USPoker has noted, legal US online poker is a major part of the BetMGM Poker Championship. Qualifying opportunities continue on the platform and the addition of the freeroll offers online players even more chances to win.
The freeroll is set for June 22 and is available exclusively to online qualifiers. Beyond the US, qualifying is also available to players on BetMGM in Ontario, Canada.
Currently, the platform is offered in the following locations:
- New Jersey (including the Borgata Poker and partypoker US skins)
- Pennsylvania (including the Borgata Poker skin)
- Michigan
- Ontario (shared liquidity pooled with partypoker platform)
So far, more than 90 BetMGM players have qualified for the trip to Las Vegas and each prize package includes:
- tournament buy-in
- travel expenses
- five-night stay at Aria
- Entry into the $25,000 freeroll at PokerGO Studio
