The Linq in Las Vegas Closes Poker Room
The Linq closed its poker room Sunday afternoon. The room went dark permanently at 4pm, according to staff and information posted on the Bravo Poker app. The last poker tournament was scheduled for 11:30am Sunday.
The Linq poker room announced the closure earlier in the day on Twitter:
It is with great sorrow that we announce the closure of the Linq Poker Room. We want to thank you all for the years of patronage and support

There had been rumors for weeks that The Linq Poker room would close this weekend. The poker room recently stopped taking a $1 promotional drop and gave away its jackpot reserve in a Saturday frequent player freeroll.
The Linq poker room struggled once the property’s transformation from Imperial Palace to the Quad began. Both are previous names for The Linq.
The poker room was temporarily moved to the third floor of the property from its prominent location just inside the front door during much of the remodel. Even after relocating back to the main casino floor, it was unable to recover.
The most common game at The Linq poker room was $1/$1 No Limit Texas Hold’em with a $50 minimum buyin.
This is the third poker room to close on that corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd in the past two years. All three were owned by Caesars.
Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall closed its poker room in January 2013 in anticipation of a property remodel. The casino reopened as The Cromwell in February 2014, but did not include a poker room.
O’Sheas closed its poker room in April 2013. The new O’Sheas, located within The Linq complex, also reopened without a poker room.
The Harrah’s poker room is located a few hundred feet north of the former Linq poker room. Harrah’s lowered its max rake from $5 to $4 this weekend. This move was made at Caesars Palace in December. Caesars Palace also stopped taking a $1 jackpot drop at the time. Harrah’s will still offer promotions funded with a jackpot drop.
