Delaware Launches Online Poker Platform
Delaware has launched its online poker room. It will not be available to the general public until November 8th but invited players are able to play immediately. The site is available on all three Delaware Video Lottery casino websites; Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington.
The poker software is powered by 888. This is the same platform used by WSOP in Nevada. In fact, one cannot be installed while the other is open. An error message pops up stating that the software is already running. Only one Delaware Lottery site can be open at a time and WSOP cannot be open at the same time as a Delaware site.
Delaware Poker First Deposit Bonus
New Delaware players are offered a 100 percent up to $200 first deposit bonus. Players must earn 10 Status Points for every $1 in bonus. The bonus releases in $10 increments and expires in 30 days. Two Status Points are awarded for every $1 in contributed rake paid. The bonus is equivalent to 20% rakeback.
Players will also be awarded 50 free spins on the City Life slot machine. According to bonus term #11 “winnings from free spins capped at $20”. The winnings from the free spins may only be played in the casino and there is a wager requirement before a withdrawal may be requested.
There is not specific term about only claiming the bonus on one Delaware Lottery racino site. There is a clause that threatens to confiscate all funds if a player is caught abusing bonuses. It would be a good idea to get confirmation by support before claiming a first deposit bonus on more than one Delaware poker site.
Delaware Poker Rake
The rake on Delaware poker sites shows a contradiction. The rake is 5 percent at all tables. One page on Delaware Park’s website shows the max rake for most games is $3. Another page shows a $4 max rake for no limit games as low as $.01/$.02 with three or more players. This is one example where the Delaware Lottery online gaming websites published contradicting rules or vague terms and conditions.
Delaware poker rake is higher than most players will be accustomed to paying. This may have to do with the higher tax burden Delaware operators will face compared to other jurisdictions.
